NOAA predicts light hurricane season
NOAA forecasters in Washington project nine to fourteen named storms and four to seven hurricanes for the six month season starting June 1. While average, accuracy varies and forecasters warn one major hurricane could still occur, with El Nino development a possibility. Colorado State University experts estimate twelve named storms and six hurricanes.
