Ohio jobs hit 25 year high unemployment in April
Ohio April unemployment rose to 10.2 percent the highest since December 1983 with 25 200 payroll losses amid auto and manufacturing cuts. Nationwide 44 states shed jobs led by California 63 700 and Texas 39 500. Michigan and Ohio also posted steep declines. Arkansas Montana Florida posted small gains.

Columbia man charged in wife's death
John J. Biszantz 34, estranged husband of Erin Biszantz, was indicted in Lorain County on two counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of reckless homicide along with domestic violence tampering with evidence and unlawful restraint. Erin Biszantz died March 15 at her South Marks Road home from multiple traumas. Biszantz, owner of QLC Quality Lawn Control, has bond set at $300,000 cash and $3,000 personal bond.
