Mayor starts allotting 500 city gardens for relief gardeners
Mayor W H Van Oster began allotments of 500 municipal gardens to be planted by residents on the relief list. He notes better garden condition and expects higher yields, with about $500 spent on seeds to be shared. Vegetables including beans lettuce tomatoes potatoes carrots corn will be raised. 72 Children Examined At Elyria Summer Round-Up
