LBJ Library operating costs far exceed 1985 projection
Federal records show the Lyndon B Johnson Library on the University of Texas campus will cost the government more than 850000 dollars annually to operate, much higher than the 190000 dollar estimate given to Congress in 1985. The rising costs include maintenance by the General Services Administration and archiving of 31 million documents and 500000 photographs.
