Elyria Woman Survives 40 Foot Fall From Bridge
An Elyria woman, Mrs. Eugene Eddy, 34, escaped serious injury after a convertible plunged 40 feet from the Lodi Street bridge into the Black River. She was pulled from the wreckage with a cut head and leg and treated at Elyria Memorial Hospital. Police charged her with reckless operation as five youths and two officers helped extract her from the car, which landed upside down on dry rock. a baby was later not found in the vehicle.
