Eight Republic Steel police officials were arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit assault and carrying concealed weapons amid the supervised election. The NLRB oversaw the vote amid interference accusations by a rival producer.

Two Injured In Dover Auto Crash Involving Two Cars
Dover police report an alleged failure to stop on a main highway led to a crash at 4 15 p m yesterday. Miss Mary McGuire 21 of Elyria fractured right leg and bruises, and Miss Ruth McCarthy 3840 West 42nd Street Cleveland driver of the other car suffered possible internal injuries. McGuire was driven home from Cleveland Law School with John F McDonough. Miss McCarthy was in Wilsons car with Mrs Helen Szabo and Joseph Wilson a liquor inspector. Wilson and Szabo escaped serious injury. No charges have been filed.
