During tonight, shower activity will be expected over the upper Mississippi valley the Lakes and portions of the Northeast. Clear to partly cloudy elsewhere.
Partly cloudy and warm tonight and Sunday as scattered showers and thunderstorms develop in the extreme west late and spread east by Sunday afternoon. Lows tonight in the mid 50s to mid 60s. Highs Sunday in the upper 70s to low 80s.
A chance of showers or thunderstorms Monday gives way to fair weather Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs stay in the 70s with lows in the mid 50s Monday morning and the upper 40s to lower 50s by Wednesday morning.
South to southeast winds at 10 to 20 knots tonight. Increasing cloudiness. Waves run one to three feet tonight.
A cold front brought rain and thundershowers from Wisconsin to Arkansas while a warm front spread rain along the middle Atlantic Coast from North Carolina to New England. Lakeside communities reported nearly an inch in La Crosse and heavier rainfall in the upper Mississippi Valley, with lighter amounts in Florida and the southern tip of Alabama. Strong storms and gusty winds appeared in Arizona and Southern California as northern Rockies saw partly cloudy skies and cool air in the northern plains.
Fred Samples, 25, of 856 Elm Rd Grafton was ordered held to the grand jury in Elyria Municipal Court on rape and aggravated robbery charges. He allegedly robbed Lawson's store at Rt 82 and Island Road and threatened the victim with a broken bottle. Bond set at 10000 per count. detainee remains in county jail.
