Rudolph Kopecka and Thomas Smetana, Clevelanders convicted here of bombing the Avon power lime tower 15 months ago, were another steppeaver the peniten diary today when the appellate court sitting at Akron refused yesterday to stay imposition of sentence. Judge Guy B. Findley, before whom they were tried, sentenced them both to serve from one to seven years following a guilty ver dict returned by a common pleas jury last September. Last Saturday the court of ap peals upheld the verdict, Yester day Defense Attorney C. F. Adams sought to have the imposition 0f sentence stated pending a review by the Ohio Supreme Court. Prosecutor Howard R. Butler ob jected to further delay. As a result, another effort to postpone imposition of sentence will be made Friday when the case will be presented to the Ohio Supreme Court for review. It is expected the court will stay the senteme until it determines what disposition it shall make of the case.
