Willis charged with criminal endangerment amid city dispute

North Ridgeville Police Sgt. George Binzer filed the endangerment charges investigated by Police Chief Thomas Sigsworth. A Mills Creek residents group plans to protest at City Hall Friday morning led by Gloria Stupe. Mayor Richard Carte discussed the case with the chief and city prosecutor Elio Zerbini, considering irregularities in the charges.

Ohio to tap gas reserve for holiday weekend

Ohio will release nearly nine million gallons of gasoline from a state reserve next week to ease shortages during Memorial Day weekend. A spokesman said the set aside program allocates three percent of gasoline to hardship cases, with distribution planned before the holiday. Columbia votes tough policy after school vandalism

The Columbia school board plans expulsions and prosecutions for trespass after two vandalism incidents in a month. Ten people were arrested for obscenities, torn signs, and stolen items during Senior Day. eight students and two adults among the arrests. Seven students suspended after Sunday’s vandalism agreed to work assignments to repair property.
