Doom and last days of U S contractor in Iraq
Nicholas Berg, a 26 year old Tower Service contractor, traveled from the Hotel Fanar in Baghdad toward a taxi and vanished. His beheaded body was found May 8 near a western Baghdad overpass after an April 10 departure, with video of his final moments released online. Berg had come to Iraq to repair communications, lived among locals, logged hours at work and travel notes, and sent emails detailing towers, storms, and culture before his death.
