C Jay Kiessling told Howard County Circuit Court his back seat held a bag of about a dozen rattlesnakes, prompting his 70 mph drive in a 60 mph zone. Judge Robert Fischer granted probation after Kiessling appealed the ticket.
UPI reports the Supreme Court justices filed six of nine disclosures showing limited holdings. Notable items include Justice Stewart with stock, trust, and royalty income from oil firms, while several justices report small interest and dividend income and debts.
Aniello Dellacroce, 65, chief Gambino underboss, and Anthony Plate, 66, top deputy, were arrested in New York City and Florida on conspiracy to murder loan sharking and racketeering charges. Dellacroce released on 500000 bond in Brooklyn. Plate held on 125000 bond. Possible penalties include decades in prison and heavy fines if convicted.
A St. Louis jury sentenced 24 year old Vicky Williams to life in prison with no parole for 50 years after convicting her of capital murder for arranging the killing of her husband Gilbert Williams to live with her lesbian lover. He was shot to death February 4 at his job.
