Akron duo killed by CSX train near Barberton crossing
Two Akron residents 45-year-old Kimberly McLane and 53-year-old Kevin Wells were struck and killed by a CSX freight train just after 10 p.m. on an access road between tracks in Barberton, about 33 miles south of Cleveland. The engineer reported the couple did not move off the tracks despite the horn. Authorities from Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims.
