Study proposal to build courthouse near sanatorium
A Lorain County proposal to erect a new courthouse near Pleasant View Sanatorium on North Ridge Road near Amherst will be discussed at a Lorain Chamber of Commerce meeting at 7 30 p m today. The Lorain Nis Pri Club, attorneys group, approved the site citing more parking. Floyd H Baker secretary said the chamber committee has been studying population centers for months. The county owns 4 acres in the sanatorium area.

Elyria hosts Mills Brothers Circus under Elyria Junior Chamber of Commerce to back a safety campaign. The 40-vehicle caravan arrived this morning and set up on Telegraph road east of the New York Central bridge for an 8 pm performance. Twelve Four H and vocational students raise 12 steers for beef project, with most to be sold at the county fair in August. Romania reports a sugar shortage.

Invitations have been sent for the Amherst High School Alumni banquet to be held Wednesday evening May 25. Reservations due by May 20. Miss Josephine Dibinski, secretary, says contact her if you have not received an invitation. It is the first banquet since the war and rationing, and many addresses are missing.
