Lorain County schools will award diplomas to 346 graduates this spring across 18 districts. Amherst leads with 49 graduates, Wellington 44, Ridgeville 30, Clearview 26, and Avon Lake 21. Ohio Scholarship Test Winners Named for 1937
Clark Biedel of Athens and Annatie Jane Peters of Montgomery were named Ohio's outstanding high school seniors for 1937 after leading the scholarship tests conducted by the State Department of Education. More than 4,700 seniors participated, with Mary Kathryn Sharp of Nelsonville tying for top honors among eighth graders from a pool of 37,000. Biedel, son of Mr and Mrs H W Biedel, plans medicine and enjoys history, volleyball, and Beery films. Peters, daughter of a Montgomery minister, loves fiction, music, scouting, and astronomy and will enter Wooster College.

Three Traffic Accidents Reported Near Lorain
Three automobile accidents were reported to the sheriff’s department yesterday afternoon and last night. Charles Dellingham, 22, of Bond Street, treated at St. Joseph’s Hospital Lorain for facial lacerations from a collision on Route 2 west of Lorain while riding as a passenger with Thelma Swartzle, 21. John Everard, 48, of Elyria, damaged his car on Route 2 near Ridgeville after swerving to avoid a machine. Joseph Koman, 21, of Grand River, Michigan, wrecked a track tractor into a concrete bridge abutment on Route 59 near the city limits.

Five Milton Children Die In Train Car Crash
