Striking OSU workers block entrances to Ohio Stadium
Ohio State University custodial and trade workers from Local 4501 staged a Friday picket outside OSU Stadium halting the $187 million renovation in Columbus. A court limited picketing to two guards at one gate and barred interference with OSU Medical Center operations. The university said work would resume Saturday despite a one day stoppage that cost about $400,000 and delayed phase two of the stadium project ahead of the Sept 2 home opener against Fresno State.

Inmate alleges Lorain guards beat him unconscious
Anthony Secession of Akron filed a lawsuit in Common Pleas Court on April 28 claiming two Lorain Correctional Institution corrections officers beat him after reporting a fellow inmate was locked in a restroom. He names William Trease and Andre Ziepler, says officers used excessive force while he was unarmed, and seeks at least 25,000 dollars plus civil judgments.
