Judge declines expunging Pecora criminal record
Lorain County Common Pleas Judge Thomas W. Janas ruled Ronald A Pecora not eligible for expungement because he used a firearm in the April 21 1992 shooting case. Pecora served about 38 months of a six to 15 year sentence and was released from parole February 26 1997. He argued he no longer faces a mandatory prison term but the judge upheld the prohibition citing a January 1992 Ohio Supreme Court ruling. Pecora expressed remorse and said he wished for a normal life.
