Route 20 wing project near Fremont to finish soon

Columbus May 18 The United States Route 20 wing project west of Fremont will be finished soon under an agreement between State High Director C. W. Merrell and Lake Shore Electric railroad. The railroad accepted the proposal to remove interurban tracks on the right of way, allowing Modern Construction to proceed with paving. State High will bear labor costs to remove tracks, with later restitution to the Attorney General. Lake Shore will buy needed tracks and supervise removal, while ballast costs are covered by the highway department due to waived curb requirements. Merrell expects no more delays and summer completion after a conference on April 29.
