State grants JVS $64,947 for equipment
OBERLIN Lorain County Joint Vocational School receives a grant from the Ohio Department of Education to cover up to 64 947 toward equipment purchases at 55 percent reimbursement. The funds will support up to 118 100 in new equipment and aid curriculum updates with Lorain County Community College.

Journalist and girlfriend found dead in cemetery car
Arthur Lynn Brown, 44, a Plain Dealer copy editor and former editor at The Morning Journal, and Sandra J. Fraser, 36, were found dead in the front seat of a parked car at a Lisbon area cemetery. Sheriff's deputies believe Brown shot Fraser then killed himself about 16 hours earlier. Funeral arrangements were pending.
