Pilot had prior bridge collision with another ship

(UPI) The pilot of the freighter that rammed the Skyway Bridge and caused at least 32 deaths had earlier struck the same span with another vessel, injuring the concrete but not prompting immediate repairs. The pilot, John Lyre, was aboard the Jenna Dan when it hit an abutment previously. the case remains under Coast Guard investigation.
