Campaign for Ohio tax reform starts with inter‑organization push
In Columbus on May 10 the Ohio Inter-organization Tax Association launched a campaign to draft a unified tax program for the next general assembly session. Dyer urged local inter‑organization groups in every county to build a joint legislative plan, warning against debt and costly government functions without economies or replacement taxes. The group includes major bodies such as the Ohio Farm Bureau, Ohio Bankers’ Association, Ohio Chamber of Commerce, and Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, with L. B. Palmer of the Farm Bureau as president. The final line oddly notes that the Chinese name for the peony means the King of Flowers.
