Mary Tyler Moore unveils life sized statue in Minneapolis
Actress Mary Tyler Moore marks the 30 year toss moment with a platform ceremony at 7th Street and Nicollet Avenue. TV Land funded the bronze statue by sculptor Gwendolyn Gillen, shown on a broadcast as crowds of 1000 gathered and a tam toss was planned but derailed while Mayor R T Rybak led a sing along to Love Is All Around. Helen Hanson of Eden Prairie snagged one of the souvenirs from Moore.
