Ridgeville district may lose state funds for classes
Ridgeville special education plan faces a budget setback as two learning disability classes at Middle School cannot be housed. The district would return state money next year for three added classes including one at the high school due to space limits. DeLuca noted state rules require classes be in the same building with peers. Boarders Shultzaberg and Turner were tasked with finding a solution as a city sewer assessment dispute also surfaces, with preliminary Drake Street plans to tax all landowners draining into the sewer district. The board also tabled administrator salary moves until negotiations conclude to avoid interfering with teaching and other staff talks.
