Grandstand Completed at Lorain County Fairgrounds
The Lorain County Fairgrounds opened a new 1700-seat grandstand, completed just before a ceremony where Commissioner Oscar Dunn presented a 19 600 check to the fair board. The project cost 24 000 with 10 000 allocated by the Agricultural Society for 1953 and the rest from a bank loan. The stand features 200 box seats, 155 feet long and 15 tiers high, built by Southern Bleacher Construction and prefabricated for future expansion.
