Decision on exams for pollution control jobs in Elyria

The Elyria Civil Service Commission will decide next week if exams for waste water pollution control posts will be open to the public. In March tests were set for three plant operator jobs and maintenance roles but postponed when promotions were possible. A maintenance employee may be certified without testing, while plant operators must be examined because duties differ. The five positions have not yet had prior examinations.
