Cleveland Indians' Lyn Lary Deal Leaves Survivors Few
Lary exited the American circuit after a string of trades that left Ivy Paul Andrews and Julius Solters as the only players remaining from the 1937 Cleveland package. The eight-club waiver to move Lary cost seven clubs a token $7500, reflecting the Tribe’s control issues. Also, Elyria High fullback Don Fobes must withdraw from spring practice due to illness, while Julian Maslyk of Elyria joins Stotesbury, a Mountain State League farm club of the Detroit Tigers.
