Settlement Reached In Lorain Personal Injury Case
The City of Lorain settles with Helen M. Vogler of Elyria for 3700 to end a $25000 claim from a sidewalk accident at Fifth and Broadway. Relief Cases Show Decrease Says Holmes
Lorain County relief loads fell about 33 percent from spring 1938 to today with 1184 cases in the county versus 1700 then. Monthly relief costs dropped from about 30000 to 21796, while 618 direct relief cases are in Lorain with 263 in Elyria and 210 elsewhere. About 95 county youths were placed in CCC camps last month, and roughly 2000 people are on WPA work, not counted in direct relief.

Five Injured By Bomb In England
Bombs exploded in London targets in the Charing Cross district injuring five people.
