New Oklahoma City federal building dedicated by Ashcroft

Attorney General John Ashcroft dedicates a $33 million three story federal building in Oklahoma City nine years after the Murrah bombing. He vows to honor victims and rejects terror as he notes security features include shatterproof glass and reinforced entrances. The structure houses 11 agencies with three more planned to move in, replacing the nine story Murrah complex. Timothy McVeigh’s 1995 attack is referenced as a defining moment in national resolve.
