Accused mother held in isolation after deadly fire

Elyria man holds children in 14th Street standoff

Anthony G. Horton, 33, of Elyria, stormed a 14th Street home and held his 5 month old son and 3 year old daughter hostage while spraying bullets from an attic window. The grandmother was struck in the arm and treated, police held the scene as County Children Services responded. Doris Horton spoke with Horton by phone and said he would not surrender.

Standoff Traps Students as Man Holed Up With Children

A man named Anthony Horton held his two children inside a 14th Street home after firing through an attic window during a school dismissal.
