Bendix aids displaced workers with outplacement program
In Elyria, Bendix Corp pivots after phase-out of plant manufacturing moving to North Carolina Kentucky and Ontario. More than 80 laid off workers joined a company sponsored outplacement program costing 200 to 300 per person, with about a third finding new jobs and some taking pay cuts or relocating. The Elyria HQ remains, and the merger with Allied Corp should not alter that status.
