Area woman among top Hughes heirs
A Detroit genealogist identifies three paternal heirs to Howard Hughes fortune, including area resident Mrs Elspeth DePauld and two relatives who are Hughes’ first cousins once removed. The others are Mrs Agnes Roberts of Olmsted Falls and Mrs Barbara Cameron of Cleveland now in Beverly Hills. Morgan of Diversified Genealogy Research says the estate could be split equally among paternal and maternal heirs if no valid will is found. He notes the three women will contest a will found last week in Salt Lake City and that the maternal line has one known heir, Mrs Frederick Lummis of Houston.
