Carter Opens Ohio Primary Campaign in Cincinnati
Democratic front-runner Jimmy Carter began his Ohio push with a $50 fund-raising breakfast at the Netherland Hilton in Cincinnati before heading to Georgia to vote in Georgia's primary. Betty Ford planned a Columbus reception to aid her husband’s campaign as Carter eyes June 8 Ohio contest. Ohio is a key battleground cited by Carter as he builds groundwork for strong results.
