Gas rescue at 140 foot shaft claims two workers
At the Pen building site in host the police rescue team lowered into a 140 foot shaft to recover two trapped workers. George Brill age 43 and a man named I gkengen age 40 went in to rescue a colleague who failed to return. Brill and the other worker were overcome by gas and later rescued, while argensen sustained injuries before also succumbing to gas.
