Kauer proposes fully distinct turnpikes to ease traffic in Columbus Ohio. He argues one direction lanes would operate as a one way system, freeing space for faster travel and reducing congestion during peak hours at key intersections.
State highway officials discussed a proposed interflow cloverleaf arrangement for the turnpike to reduce exits and toll gates. The plan would route traffic onto a transposed flow between superhighway sections, cutting costs versus the Pennsylvania New Jersey style cloverleaf and aiming to improve safety while preserving current driving patterns.
Turnpike Commission chairman James W. Snacknessy described a road design with a maximum curve of 2 1-2 degrees over 1000 feet and a minimum four feet clearance above flood marks. He said the commission cannot afford to be wrong and wants a fast, safe highway.

LaGrange Methodist Church men held the first of a series of meetings to foster active fellowship among male members. The supper was prepared by George Woodruff, Ken Jackson, and Leigh Stonesmith, followed by songs led by Julius Wilcox and a talk by Prof. George Hubbard of Oberlin.
A report notes an address by Prof Hubbard on church laymen themes followed by brief remarks from Law Leader John Curtiss. An indepen dent committee of three was appointed to nominate officers for the next meeting, date to be announced later.
