Hartley urges stronger Taft-Hartley action to curb coal strike

He has prepared standby legislation to prosecute nationwide work stoppages under Sherman and Clayton acts if current law fails. Truman expected to seek Taft-Hartley injunction today as coal strike nears three weeks and threatened supplies grow perilously low.
