Spinks Sues WBC Over Title Stripping Action
Leon Spinks through Detroit lawyers filed in Las Vegas seeking a court ruling that the WBC violated its constitution by stripping him after Feb 15 title win over Muhammad Ali. The suit targets the Madrid Edict and argues the champion must defend against a top ten contender within six months. The WBA still recognizes Spinks as champion despite the WBC ruling.
