Water project taps doors in Lorain County signup drive
Rural farming groups and the Farmers Home Administration plan a door to door signup as the Lorain County Water Authority and Eaton townships pursue a major water line project. About 4,600 potential customers signed with more bids expected between April and May. The plan includes bulk water sales to Medina County and North Ridgeville, with eminent domain authority to obtain easements if needed. A separate county jury valued land for Interstate 480 near North Ridgeville at 22 328.27 acres for the state project.
