Lorain Officer Fired Over Threat to Police Chief
Ptl. John Horvath was fired Tuesday afternoon for allegedly threatening Police Chief John Malinovsky’s life. He has 10 days to appeal to the Civil Service Commission. The department previously cited statements Horvath made to Capt. Cel Rivera about “having thoughts of killing” the chief. Malinovsky said he supported the decision and expected Horvath to appeal.
