Worcester Named to Spencer Council Post
Loren Worcester was chosen to fill the Spencer village council vacancy left by Kenneth Grieve. He will serve two years and nine months and heads parks and building, equipment, safety, and sanitation committees. Councilwoman Jean Burden will fill Grieve's liaison role with the Firestone Cisse Trust Advisers Board. The village also approved $6000 in bond prepayment for the municipal water dept and authorized selling the 1970 police car with bids starting at $400. Bay Village man arraigned in area burglary case
A 29 year old Bay Village man, Michael J Nolan of 456 Fordham Rd, faced arraignment in Elyria Municipal Court on a breaking and entering charge linked to an attempted burglary at Turner Drug Store. He was arrested after officers spotted him crouching by a store rear door on Root Road near 1 am yesterday. no entry occurred and he had been freed yesterday on 2500 bail.
