Chronicle Telegram to install high speed offset press facility

The Chronicle Telegram announces a 1.5 million expansion to install a five unit Goss Metro offset press. Construction will start this summer on East Avenue. the new press will raise circulation and position the paper as Ohio’s largest offset producer with 60 000 papers per day. Delivery is planned for early 1969 and production by late summer or fall 1969.

Mayors seek louder voice on new agency

Lorain County mayors pushed to gain more influence in the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency at a county representatives meeting. A proposal to cut Lorain County commissioners from three to two would still need full membership approval. If approved, mayors hope for one more representative in the county delegation, while HUD delays federal funds until a coordinating agency is formed.

Oberlin residents scrutinize public school problems

Twenty one citizens met amid a heavy snowstorm to discuss Oberlin's school issues.
