Moceri of Licavoli gang sentenced on blackmail charge
Leonard Lips Moceri, 45, a member of the Licavoli gang, received a one to five year sentence for a blackmail charge. He was believed to be the triggerman in gang killings in Detroit and Toledo during 1931 and 1932 and was arrested in San Francisco for firing shots into a public telephone. He was brought back to face murder charges in four gangland killings from 1931 and 1932.

Child Struck By Car Suffers Leg Fractures
Barbara Plata four years old daughter of Joe F Plata of Akins road Columbia Township was hospitalized at Berea Community Hospital with fractures of both legs after a Thursday afternoon accident near her home.
