Meyers Refuses Resignation as Admiral King Basketball Coach
Elmer Meyers says he will not resign as head basketball coach at Admiral King after principal Dick Ackerman requested his stepping down. Lorain officials denied any resignation demand, noting Meyers remains in place following a 7-13, 12-11 and 11-8 season, one sectional title, and a tough tournament loss to Avon Lake. Meyers cites a strong finish and key wins over Sandusky as justification for the season’s overall success.

Palm Beach Florida AP The NFL has extended the inter conference trading deadline from April 15 to July 31 to boost cross league trades.
