Adams aims for 6 000 mile solo Pacific voyage
Sharon Sites Adams of Del Rey California plans a solo non stop 6000 mile voyage in a 31 foot boat from Yokohama to San Diego starting May 12. The mission would set a record for longest sailboat solo Pacific crossing and for a woman. She previously became the first woman to sail solo California to Hawaii in 1965.
