Banks here tighten up on issuing credit cards and limiting limits as consumer credit curtailment widens. Suspect held in Cleveland light-shooting on Gebbie
Cleveland police arrested a suspect in the Saturday night shooting that left Mary Katherine Gebbie 20, of Bay Village, in critical condition with a head wound after two shots were fired at a traffic light on Bridge Avenue near West 45th Street. A tip identified a man seen arguing with a woman at the scene. he is being questioned with no charges filed. Gebbie and Mary Lon Jankowski, 23, of Garfield Heights, were returning from Heck's Cafe when gunshots struck their car.
