Youth Witness tour auditions at Norwalk UMC Church
The United Methodist Youth Witness tour will audition vocalists instrumentalists and puppeteers Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Norwalk United Methodist Church. Open to grades 10 11 12 and 1978 high school graduates. The tour lasts three weeks this summer. Contact Pam Smith at the LaGrange church for details.

Methodists study community ownership of closed steel plant
In Youngstown Ohio United Methodists join a plan for employee or community ownership of a plant closed six months ago leaving about 5000 jobless. The Rev Donald Walton says supporters are asked to seed "Save the Valley" accounts with up to 1000 dollars to prove local backing for a takeover and possible federal aid for reopening.
