Walker, a Kalama, Michigan native, served in Coast Guard Artillery with the AEF in France during World War I and pursued studies at Manitoba College Edinburg Cambridge and Union Theological Seminary before ministerial roles in Winnipeg Montclair and beyond.

County officials plan bonds to retire sewer and water notes
County commissioners reported today that steps are being taken with Squires, Saunders and Dempsey, Cleveland bond authorities, for issuing bonds to retire two year notes for the 78127 sewer and water improvement in the Spring Valley district and for the 29331 water line improvement on East River road south of Elyria. The periods for which the notes were issued will expire in May and June.

Six Elyria Youths Captured After Florida Holdups
Six Elyria youths were arrested in St. Petersburg Florida on Wednesday for a string of holdups that netted about 1.49 dollars. They were picked up at 3 a.m. after holding up E. E. White 60 and taking 35 cents. A toy pistol was found in the car. Four younger boys ages 15 to 17 have notable juvenile court records. two older boys are 19.
