Speaker Traces History Of The Bath Tub
R L Carter of Elyria Plumbing Supply spoke to the local United Association of Journeymen Plumbers and Steam Fitters on the bath tub’s history. He cited records from 1700 B C, ancient civilizations, and modern Japan, noting bath culture across Egypt, Greece, Rome, and Russia, with remarks on Roman cleanliness and its alleged link to Rome’s fall. The talk also touched on a seven point industrial peace plan, plant reopens, and wage adjustments amid a strike context.
