Cabaret review shines with Liza Minelli’s star power
A sharp film critique lauds Liza Minnelli as Sally Bowles in Cabaret at Cinema City Westgate. It praises her singing and acting as a standout, while noting strong supporting turns by Joel Grey, Michael York, and Helmut Griem. The piece commends director Bob Fosse’s subtle handling, but criticizes the film’s nuanced portrayal of Nazis as overly sympathetic. It concludes Cabaret is a mature, electrifying yet not-for-kids showcase, with Minnelli delivering a career-defining performance.
