A man aged 67 died yesterday in a house fire that destroyed his four room residence in Forest, near Upper Sandusky. Firefighters battled the blaze but could not save the victim located inside. Investigators awaited further details to determine the cause.

A five alarm fire at Sullivan early this morning destroyed six buildings in the town's business district. The estimated damage runs from 100000 to 150000 dollars, consuming the Wilkie General Store, Sullivan Hardware, the United States Post Office, the Sullivan Print Shop, and a pool room. Residents included the Wilkie and Kerr families, with the print shop above the business over the Kerr residence.
