Obscene calling octogenarian jailed over harassment in Tennessee
In Chattanooga Tennessee 84 year old Gertrude Jamison faced a judge after decades of daily obscene telephone calls to man A Douglas Thompson. The court ordered a lock on her phone allowing only incoming calls, plus a six month suspended term and a year’s probation. Thompson recalls the dog bite incident that preceded the long dispute. Prosecutor Groves notes Jamison’s frail health may help curb the calls, though predicts she may try again if able.
