Third Gangster Goes on Trial at Lima
Lima March 19 Russell Clark the third gangster under murder indictment for the slaying of Sheriff Jesse L Larber went on trial for his life today in Allen county court as his two companions await death sentences. Prosecutor Firnest Botkin presented nearly the same testimony that convicted Pierpont and Makley. Key witnesses were Mrs Lucy Sarber widow of the slain sheriff and Deputy Wilbur Sharp. John Dillinger was identified as present at the jail attack. Louis P Piquett Chicago attorney said to represent Clark faced court after being arrested for disorderly conduct while Durkin said Piquett would not defend Clark.
